The famous Solang ski slopes, Kothi & Palchan recorded one feet, Manali & Jagatsukh 5 inches of fresh snow. On the other side of the Rohtang pass, the entire Lahoul Valley recorded more than one feet of snow, along with high velocity of snow blizzard. Big glaciers like Gnagstang, Kangla, Barashigri, Sona Pani, Samunder Tapu are blessed with record snow cover and depth after longing of many years. District administration of Lahoul & Spiti have given an alert to the people residing around the avalanche prone areas, not to cross these hazardous routs, until and unless familiarize themselves and do not follow safety measures, precaution, weather conditions.
