Health department has constituted committee to inquire death of a girl of Kangra district who was admitted in Dr. RPGMC, Tanda after snake bite and expired later on.

Health Minister Vipin Parmar has directed inquiry to find out real cause of her death. A high level committee has been constituted in which Doctors of IGMC, Shimla have been included and it would submit its report within five days.

HoD Medicine department Dr. Dilip Gupta will head the committee and Head of the Forensic Medicine department Dr. Piyush Kapila and Senior Medical Superintendent Dr. Janak Raj have been included as its members.

The Health Minister said that Tanda Medical College and Hospital was a prestigious health institute of the state where best health care was being ensured. He said that he was personally pained to learn about the death of a girl who was admitted in this hospital after snake bite. If, any lapse on the part of the hospital was found after investigation, stern action would be taken in this case, he added.
