Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Medical Officers Association (HMOA) called on Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Vineet Chaudhary and requested him to grant four tier pay scale to all the Medical Officers and count the adhoc/contract/RKS service for the 4-9-14 years of service.
Dr Jiwa Nand Chauhan, Gen. Secy, HMOA, stated that the HMOA has also raised the security concern for the hospital staff, criteria for the seniority of doctors, appointment of Senior Block Medical Officers at NRHM Consultant in Directorate of Health services Kasumpati, creating post of senior medical Superintendent, Deputy CMO’s and Distt Program Officers on seniority basis in all the districts, restructure the cadre creating post of DGHS, DHS, Jt Directors, regularization of services of contract/RKS/Medical Officers after completing three years of services and giving allowances, incentives and perks like rural area allowance + special incentives for rural posting with Additional Chief Secretary.
As per Dr Chauhan press statement, Chaudhary has acceded most of association demands and given clear mandate from the government side. On security concern ACS has directed the DHS to prepare the fare draft within week and seniority of the doctors will be decided on the basis of Public Services commission.
Additional chief secretary (Health) has assured the Association to increase the Post graduate seats from 66 percent and also acceded its demand of appointment in NRHM.
Chaudhary also assured the Association to remove discrepancy at the earliest. The Medical Officers will be regularized by frequently advertising the posts through Public service commission.
Members of the Association Dr. SantLal Sharma, President, Dr. Jiwanand Chauhan Gen. Secretary, Dr. Yash Pal Ranta Vice President, Dr. Sushil Sharma Press Secretary and Dr. Om Pal Sharma were also present in the meeting.
