Himachal Art, Culture and Language Department and Tourism and Civil Aviation Department of Himachal Pradesh are jointly organizing three days Mythological Ballet Festival at Gaiety Theater Shimla from 23rd to 25th May, 2014.
Arun Sharma, Director, Art, Culture and Language, in his press statement revealed that a Dance-Drama on the life of Meera would be presented on 23rd May, 2014 by more the 40 renowned artists from Shriram Bhartiya Kala Kendra, Delhi. The director of this Mythological Dance Ballet is Shobha Deepak Singh.
‘Shri Durga’, an ancient style Dance-Drama on ‘Women-born of the fire of consciousnesses would be performed on the second day of festival on 24th May. A ballet in Mayurbhanj Chhau ‘Karna’ will be performed on the last day of festival on 25th May, 2014.
Free entry passes are being issued at the reception counter of Gaiety theater on first come first serve basis and entry and seats will also be available in the theatre on first come-first serve basis on all three days of festival.
