Shimla: The third edition of MTB Himalaya Shimla edition 2014 is scheduled for April 11-13th. The race will be flagged of from Hotel Holiday home on the 12th April at 9 A.M. The Chief of staff – Army Training command, Lieutenant General B.S. Sachar Sena Medal -Varisht Sena Medal will be flagging off the race. The chief of Staff will also be riding with the participants till the first competitive section begins.
Lieutenant General himself a cycling enthusiasts and has promised support in terms of logistics and rescue for the race.
The Rally will take the route from Shimla – Anandpur – Sadhupul – Junga – Chail covering around 60 kilometeres through mud tracks, jeep tracks and single tracks on day one. The total elevation gain of the day will be around 1500m. On the second day after a relaxing stay at the Palace of the erstwhile Maharaja of Patiala the race will take the route from Janedghat,Sadhupul, Shoghi, Taradevi (Walking trails) and back to Hotel Holiday home.
