Today again opposition BJP didn’t attend the budget session of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha. From past seven sitting opposition were boycotting budget session and even didn’t take part in Chief Minister Budget speech and even haven’t participated in budget debate.
Opposition were protesting against reported ‘bounded labour’ remark of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh against opposition members and demanding his apology. They have made clear that until Chief Minister doesn’t apologies, they won’t take part in budget session. Prem Kumar Dhumal, the Leader of Opposition said
“There was no question of any compromise with a person who had no faith in democracy and behaved in an undemocratic and unsocial manner. Congress is muzzling the voice of the opposition and if this trend continues, the BJP would come on roads to expose its misdeeds,”
However, Congress led government accused opposition for running from their responsibilities.
House was giving deserted look today as along with opposition members, Chief Minister and couple of his cabinet ministers were not present. Even few associate members also give a miss to the session. Question hour was just completed within 45 minutes.
