Industries, Labour & Employment and Public Relations Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that the Union Government has approved setting up of Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Saloh village in Haroli tehsil of Una district.

He said that the State Government had been perusing the Union Government for setting up an IIIT in the district for providing world class education facilities to the youth of the State nearer to their home. He said that the Site Selection Committee constituted by the Union Government had approved 60 acres of land in Saloh village for setting up this prestigious Institution.

Agnihotri thanked the Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh for strongly taking up the issue with the Central Government at various levels. He said that this Institution would be established in PPP mode and would provide highly professional courses within the State.
