Jagat Singh Negi

On the opening day of the budget session, Congress Kinnaur legilature Jagat Singh Negi was unanimously elected Deputy Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha here today.

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh proposed the name of Negi and seconded by Irrigation and Public Health Minister Vidya Stokes and Forest minister Thakur Singh Bharmauri. He was declared elected to the post by Speaker Brij Bihari Lal Butail.

Jagat Singh Negi was first elected to assembly in 1993 and was re-elected in 2003 and 2012.
