Chief Justice Kurian Joseph, High Court of Himachal Pradesh has been elevated as Judge of Supreme Court of India. The Supreme Court collegium has cleared his name as Supreme Court judge.

One of leading national newspaper has commented through their sources in the Union Law Ministry that the recommendations from the collegium, headed by Chief Justice of India Altamas Kabir, would be processed and forwarded to the Prime Minister’s Office and later to Rashtrapati Bhavan. This exercise would be completed in 3-4 weeks.

Justice Kurian Joseph was appointed Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court in 08 February 2010.

Along with Justice Kurian Joseph, Chief Justices of the Andhra Pradesh, Pinaki Chandra Ghose has also been elevated as Judge of Supreme Court of India.
