Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal released a Hindi novel ‘Jhankar’authored by Poonam Pathak, a teacher by profession, here today.

Chief Minister congratulated Poonam Pathak for bring out the Hindi novel. He said that there was no dearth of talented writers in Himachal Pradesh who had been contributing significantly towards bringing out quality literature. He said that although in the modern days when lots of entertainment and educational material was being presented by electronic channels but printed literature had its admirers.

Chief Minister said that compared to regular updation of information on different channels, printed material provide readers opportunity to read and enjoy the same at their convenience. He said that the State Government was motivating talented writers to come forward with their creativities so that budding talents were encouraged to write and exhibit their talent. He hoped that the novel would be received well by readers within and outside the State. R.S.Gupta, Principal Private Secretary to the Chief Minister was also present on the occasion.
