In a bid to assess party performance in the recently concluded Assembly elections, Himachal Pradesh BJP has summoned its 68 candidates, along with senior party functionaries on 19th November at Shimla.
All 68 candidates have been directed to ensure their presence at the meeting, in which Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and state BJP chief Satpal Singh Satti will be present.
In this election party rebels had created problems for the official candidates and party has also expelled 15 rebels for contesting elections as Independents. However, after election many independents are likely to play kingmaker role in the formation of Govt, so party leadership can chalk out its strategy to woo probable victorious rebels.
Shanta Kumar, JP Nadda and Anurag Thakur will not attend the meeting as the Parliament session will be under way. BJP’s national organising secretary Ram Lal and co-in charge Shyama Jaju are likely to attend the meeting.
