To ensure the Congress win in the 2012 Himachal Assembly poll, HPCC chief Virbhadra Singh is holding rapid rallies across the Himachal Pradesh. Like BJP leaders, Singh has opened a counter attack at his distracters blaming Dhumal for falsely accusing the UPA government for not giving grant to the state. At Congress’ Sundernagar rally he claimed that the wrong policies of the state government and faulty approach has cost the state dear as Govt failed to utilized Rs 10,500 crore of centre funds.

Virbhadra Singh said that the UPA government had given special package to northern hill states, including Himachal, as in the total amount 90 per cent was grant and 10 per cent was loan but in case of other states 10 per cent was grant and 90 per cent loan.

Virbhadra accused the state government of closing around 800 primary schools, then how it could claim that education was good in HP for which it had been given the best award. He said this award was given on account of development made by the previous Congress government in the state.

Singh also tried to gain from the denial of BJP ticket for Roop Singh, MLA, Sundernagar, he stated that BJP had not done justice with Roop Singh, who had represented region for record six times.
