The Himachal Pradesh CPM unit has asked for a CBI probe into the BJP-Congress-DLF connection in the state. The BJP government has awarded the DLF to construct the apartments in the green belt of Kanlog area under the Samatara apartments. Interestingly, the party has stated, both the previous Shimla M.C. led by the Congress and the BJP state government were responsible for illegally allowing the Bamloi Construction Company proxy company for DLF to construct the apartments.

CPM leader Tikender Panwar, in his press communique alleged that in just one single day clearance was granted in haste violating all norms. The permission to construct the road was given by the state government in guise of facility being provided to the villagers surrounding the DLF colony. The government was so desperate to sanction the money that a memorandum signed by 20 people formed the basis for the aforesaid work. Interestingly four of the signatories died many years before the date of signatures, another two have no connection to the site and reside in the town, another three have completely refused and stated that the signatures are forged.

The party has termed this as on of the biggest scandal of the state in which the state has not only been robbed of the money, it has created a real estate mafia to which both the Congress and the BJP are responsible. The seriousness of the crime must be taken into consideration after the revelations made by the members of the civil society into the DLF-Congress connections and the meteoric rise of one of the member of the Gandhi family. Similar to the central connection there exist a strong bond in between the DLF and one of the BJP family in the state.
