Senior Congress leader from Nagrota Bagwan GS Bali organised a youth rally at his home constituency. Rally was attended by thousands of youth from Nagrota Bagwan. Youth Congress State vice President Raghubir Singh Bali was among other attended the rally.
While addressing the youth rally GS Bali said the state government had failed to provide employment to the youth. The number of unemployed in the state had risen to 10 lakh, amounting to about 10 per cent of the population, he said.
He said the state government had no policy for creating job avenues for the youth. The industry that had come up in the state had not been forced to employ 70 per cent Himachal residents, he said. There was hardly any presence of Himachal residents in higher managerial posts, he added.
If promised that if the Congress voted to power, it would ensure that qualified engineers and management professionals from the state were given preference in the private sector.
