On the occasion of independence, Chief Minister conferred ‘Himachal Gaurav’ Award to Olympic Silver Medal Winner Shooter Vijay Kumar. Chief Minister also conferred a draft of cash prize of rupees one crore for winning Silver Medal in the recently concluded Olympics in London. CM also offered a 200 square meter HIMUDA residential plot in the industrial town at Mandhala, Baddi in Solan district.
Vijay Kumar has won Silver Medal in 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men’s Finals at London Olympic and helped India to complete its best ever medal tally so far in the history of Olympic.
