Director General of Police I.D.Bhandari appreciated Police Organisation in Bilaspur District for taking effective steps to control the accidents on National Highway and added that they should also put more concerted efforts to achieve better results. He was addressing the Police officers and officials at the district police headquarters in Bilaspur today.

Bhandari said that CCTV cameras would be set up on National Highway to control the crime and keep strict vigil on crime activities. He said that 21 black spots had been identified on National Highway-21 and sign boards had been setup along the roads sides. He said that awareness campaign would be launched to make the drivers aware about safety measures. He directed the officers to take strict action against the persons involved in drug trafficking. He said that information technique had been introduced by the police department to control the crimes and training was being imparted to the police personnel.

Director General of Police said that a Police post would also be opened in Sai Kharsi in district Bilaspur. K.C.Sadyal, Additional Director General of Police, Ritesh Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner and Santosh Patyal, Superintendent of Police were also present on the occasion.
