A spokesman of the State Government said that the Haj Committee had allotted additional quota for the waiting list of pilgrims of Himachal Pradesh. He requested the selected pilgrims to deposit whole amount of money in the accounts of Haj Committee of India and to deposit their passport with the State Haj Committee by 21st August, 2012. The list of provisionally selected pilgrims was available on website www.hajcommittee.com.
He further added that due to shortage of Green category units, all provisionally selected pilgrims would be allotted Azizya category only irrespective of the category they had opted for. He said that 25th August, 2012 had been fixed as late date for remittance of entire Haj amount (Advance+ Balance) in terms of Azizya accommodation category by the pilgrims.
