Justice D.P. Sood (Retd.), Chairman, State Commission of Inquiry Benami Land Transaction set up by the Government has presented the final report to the Chief Secretary, S. Roy here today.

In its second report, the Commission examined 321 files in addition to 122 previous pending complaints. 34 cases have been decided by the Commission and 49 dropped. In its earlier report, the Commission has examined 2197 files and 282 complaints. Out of these, 118 were disposed off.

Govt has constituted Commission in June, 2011 to look into the Benami transactions that took place in the State from 1.1.2003 to 31.3.2011.
