A spokesman of Department of Tourism & Civil Aviation said that the Government had decided to conduct the survey for construction of ropeway from Khanyara (Patola) to Triund. He said that earlier the site of Ropeway from Dharamkot to Triund was advertised twice on 23-02-2009 & 7-4-2010 but no offer from any promoter was received within the prescribed period.
He said that the Department had requested M/s RITES Ltd to analyze the reason which according to them was less tourist inflow to Kangra district as compared to Kullu-Manali & Shimla Circuits. However, fresh survey was being conducted by M/s RITES Ltd for construction of ropeway.
