Showing concern over the use of money to secure the win by the ruling BJP, the opposition Congress party demanded the deployment of para-military forces for the bye-poll in the Renuka and Nalagarh Assembly constituencies. HPCC General Secretary and spokesperson Kuldeep Rathore said that some senior Congress leaders had today sent a memorandum to the Election Commission of India and the Chief Electoral Officer, urging them to deploy Central forces to prevent the BJP from using its authority to influence voters in the two constituencies and resort to booth capturing.

Rathore also added that ruling party is afraid of the bye-election and senior BJP ministers and MLAs camping in Renuka clearly reflected their frustration and insecurity. Kuldeep Rathore also target Minister Mahineder Singh, state BJP chief Khimi Ram and spokesperson Ganesh Dutt for their misleading statements.
