The meeting of Executive Committee of Himachal Pradesh Red Cross Hospital Welfare Section was held in which various works being undertaken by the Committee and future planning was discussed upon. Chairperson of Hospital Welfare Section of State Red Cross Sheela Dhumal presided over the meeting. It was decided in the meeting that H.P. Red Cross Hospital Welfare Section would distribute sweets and fruits in various ashrams and hospitals during Diwali. It was also decided to hold a voluntary donation camp at the Ridge Shimla on 3rd November, 2011 by the Welfare Section of H.P. Red Cross Hospital.
Chairperson said that the Welfare Section was rendering commendable services to facilitate the poor and needy. She urged the members of Red Cross to support the cause. She asked the members to regularly pay a visit to various Ashrams and hospitals to help the poor and needy people. Bimla Kashyap, MP sanctioned Rs. 2.50 lakh for repair of Red Cross building from MP fund. Mayor, Shimla Municipal Corporation Madhu Sood gave Rs. 10,000 for carrying out the repair work of conference hall of Red Cross building. The office bearers of H.P. Red Cross Hospital Welfare Section and other members attended the meeting.
