The one-man inquiry commission for benami transactions, headed by Justice DP Sud has received more than 300 complaints of Section 118 of the Tenancy and Land Reforms Act from Mandi, Dharamsala, Solan and Sirmaur so far.

Although the Congress has termed the one-man inquiry commission as a “ploy to silence the public outcry against the BJP government for alleged violation of Section 118, yet a large number of complaints are coming to the commission.

The commission has received more than 25 complaints under Section 118 from Mandi district. Patwaris, tehsildars and district revenue officials, headed by the ADC, Mandi, assisted the commission. The commission will submit its report to the government within six months.
