The Himachal Pradesh High Court set aside the ruling of National Environment Appellate Authority (NEAA), which had quashed the Environment Clearance (EC) granted to French industrial company Lafarge’s project in Himachal Pradesh.
The high court has also referred the EC to the Ministry of Environment & Forest for consideration.
Lafarge welcome the decision and further said that Lafarge is committed to total legal and environmental compliance and added that from this project local will get benefits as it’ll give employment preference to the local people.
