Engineer drowned in seasonal nullah

Man drowned in a seasonal nullah near Konthro village on the NH-72 today while he was trying to cross the road in his Alto car near the Konthro nullah. Although, it is a seasonal nullah, yet with the heavy rain, it was carrying a huge volume of water. The flow of water threw open the car door and swept deceased to a distance of almost 1 km. Deceased is identified as Ajit Singh, who was working as an engineer with the Valley Iron rolling steel unit at Dhollan Kuan. Villagers came to his rescue but by the time he could pull out of the water, he had died.
