People demanded basic facilities at Civil Hospital, Sarkaghat

Native of Dharampur, Sarkaghat and Gopalpur protested against the apathy of health department and demanded to fill the shortage of gynaecologists, surgeons, anaesthetists and technicians at the Civil Hospital, Sarkaghat. Protesters were demanding for the proper doctors’ staff including gynaecologists, surgeons, anaesthetists and technicians at the Civil Hospital. They also said that civil hospital is lacking basic health services and even lacking blood bank. Erratic water supply and stinking toilets are also adding patients’ problem. Around 500 patients daily come to civil hospital and with such meager facilities and poor hygiene is inviting serious health problem that can affect patients.
