The Himachal Pradesh government has sanctioned a Special Grant of Rs. 20 crore to the Baddi Barotiwala Nalagarh Development Authority (BBNDA) for improvement and maintenance of roads and creation of basic infrastructural facilities to cater to the requirements of the Baddi Barotiwala Nalagarh Industrial Area.
Chief Minister blames centre for the delay in the development of the state and said that although improvement and maintenance of the national highways was a central subject but the State had to intervene keeping in view the requirements of the industrialists of the area of better road infrastructural facilities and for smooth plying of the loaded vehicles to and fro the industrial area. He said that the State Government had created a separate authority and named it as Baddi Barotiwala Nalagarh Development Authority (BBNDA) with a view to carry focused development of the industrial areas located within its jurisdiction. He said that the Authority had already been provided with adequate budgetary allocations to meet the roads construction and other civic amenities infrastructural requirements in the area as also to maintain the same to the satisfaction of the people working and residing in the industrial area. He said that the Authority had been functioning effectively and carrying need based developmental activities in consultation with the representatives of the Baddi Barotiwala Nalagarh Industries Association. He said that such an effort was resulting into planned development of the industrial area not only to benefit the industrialists but the residents as well with quality basic amenities.
