Public Works Minister Thakur Gulab Singh met his counterpart of Andhra Pradesh Dharmanna Prasad Rao, at Hyderabad today and detailed discussion on road construction and their maintenance was held between the two States.
Reports suggest that Thakur Gulab Singh said that H.P. Government has given a special priority for road construction in the State and added that H.P. being hilly State, roads were life lives and main means of transportation in the State. He said that H.P. was the 1st State in the country to use plastic in bitumen for road construction which would not only made roads stable but also provide protection to our environment.
Public Works Minister said that State Government was according priority for tunnels construction in the State and added that Government was also upgrading various national high ways and State highways. He also invited the PWD Minister of Andhra Pradesh to visit H.P. Andhra Pradesh PWD Minister lauded the efforts of H.P. Government for using plastic in road construction and also urged for providing this technique to Andhra Pradesh Government.
