Chief Minister Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal inaugurates Science Laboratory at Govt. Senior Secondary School Dera Parol in Bhoranj Sub Division of Hamirpur. It will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 84 lakh. State government is emphasizing on good infrastructure. Chief Minister said that the State had emerged a role model in Education despite the tough geographical conditions and willing to make Himachal pioneer in this sector. Prof. Dhumal also said that the State has taken a lead by notifying regulatory provision to monitor activities of the educational institutions in public and private sectors and to protect interests of the students.
Chief Minister asserts that Mukhya Mantri Vidyarthi Swasthya Yojna has also been launched in Government schools to regularly monitor the health conditions of the children. He said that ‘Beti Hai Anmol’ scheme had been launched in the State by providing Rs. 5100 to the daughters of BPL families at the time of their birth which on maturity would multiply substantially. He said that the girls were being provided free education from lowest to the highest standards. He also advises that education should not be limited to academics only but students needed to be developed and equipped as intellectuals enabling them to form their logical opinion.
