Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Jai Ram Thakur assured the contract Panchayat Secretaries and Assistants serving in various Panchayati Raj Institutions that State Government was committed for their welfare. He said that Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal was looking into their demands and grievances personally and their genuine demands would be considered sympathetically. He said that various effective steps had been taken for their welfare.
The Minister was addressing a meeting of the representatives of H.P. contract Panchayat Secretaries and Assistants Association and the officers of the department here today. Grievances and demands of the Association were discussed at length in the meeting.
Thakur urged the Association to cooperate with the Government so that their grievances could be redressed soon.
