Chief Minister Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal released three booklets, one video CD, and an audio CD at Una, brought out by the Information and Public Relations Department. The booklets and CDs highlight policies and programmes being carried out by the state government. Prof. Dhumal stated that the present State Government is committed for the welfare of the people, and has formulated programmes and policies for the welfare for residents of the state. Awareness is the first tool for the welfare, as it makes people realize their rights and duties, as well as those of the government, the foremost task therefore, is to spread awareness.
The Chief Minister also released a compendium on the schemes launched for the welfare of weaker sections, SCs, STs and OBCs in Una district.
