Taking a holistic view of systematic Approach to Training in pursuance of State Training Policy, 2009, H.P. Institute of Public Administration (HIPA) has organized Intensive Training Programmes for capacity building for Training Managers and Officers of various Departments/organizations of the State Government, in collaboration with Department of Personnel and Trainings, Government of India during last three months according to Dinesh Malhotra, Director of Institute of Public Administration.
He said that ten courses have been organized on Training Management, Training Need Analysis, three Trainer’s Skills Programmes and Designing of Training. He said that in these courses officers of 24 Departments/ Organizations e.g. Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Ayurveda, Information & Public Relations, Forest, State Civil Supplies, Horticulture, Treasuries, Elementary Education, Urban Development, Prosecution, Town and Country Planning, Industries, Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, Labour and Employment, Public Works, Irrigation & Public Health, HRTC, H.P. Power Corporation, Forest Corporation, Agriculture University Palampur, Horticulture University Nauni Distt. Solan, Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports, Manali of the State Government have participated. He said that those imparted training have also been assigned project work which would be evaluated by the recognized trainers of Department of Personnel, Govt. of India.
He said as a post training follow up, these trained officers would be provided training assignments in their respective organizations. This would go a long way in facilitating formulation of training manuals and training action plan of the Departments/Organizations of the State Government resulting into better service delivery to the public.
