K.S Tomar, Chairman, Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, after assuming the charge, announced to start a toll free helpline to assist the candidates in getting all information and Commission would also work towards offering an online monitoring system of all Requisitions, Departmental Promotion Committees and R&P Rules received by the Commission from the client departments.
Tomar said that ensuring equal opportunities to the people living in far flung areas of the State would be his utmost priority besides giving a candidate friendly face to the Public Service Commission.
He said that appropriate recommendations would be sent to the Government for introducing coaching in Aptitude Tests in Colleges and Universities on the analogy of NCC and NSS, if needed.
He said that modern innovations in the examination and evaluation system would be introduced like Bar-coded fictitious roll numbers in place of manual entries, high speed intelligent character readers to provide error free and efficient results and preparation of Question Banks for various examinations besides giving due weightage to comprehensive knowledge of Himachal Pradesh.
