To equip its students with modern skill for the better job placement, Bahra University has announced to sign agreement with Qualifications and Assessments International (QAI), UK based International awarding organisation, which develops, accredits and quality assures professional qualifications such as Short courses, Foundation, Certificate & Diploma programmes and University pathway courses.
In addition the University also announced the implementation of English language examinations and qualifications from Cambridge English Language Asssessments, which is part of the University of Cambridge under an implementation agreement through Planet EDU.
Vice Chancellor, Bahra University, Dr SK Bansal said
“We are very pleased to have signed the MOU with QAI UK and the implementation agreement with Planet EDU for Cambridge English Exams. He further said that with high quality teaching and backed with appropriate Employability Skills and Cambridge English exams, the students will be ready for global employability in the English Speaking world”
Dr Bansal added that Bahra University is first University in India, which has taken such step to improve students’ skill. He said that University will not charge extra money from students for these small courses/capsules. He said that initially it will be for Bahra University students, but will be open for other student later.
Chief Executive Officer QAI, Hohn Kerr said that “we are very pleased to be working with Bahra University in offering employability skill and employability readiness tests, which will prepare the students of the university with skills and certifications for Global employability that will greatly benefit the students in their future and we look forward to working with the University in making this collaboration a success”
JMD Rayat Bahra Group Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura also addressed the press and emphasized on the quality education and development of soft skill along with regular courses. He said that there is huge scope of employment in India and foreign countries for skilled students, thus, these courses that have been offered will prepare the students for national and international markets by giving them an edge over and above their basic qualification. These courses are designed in a streamlined manner and do fulfill and enhance the skill requirements as needed by multi national companies.
