Israel Ambassdor to India Alon Ushpiz called on Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh at New Delhi today. In the meeting the issues related to mutual co-operation between Himachal and Israel were discussed. Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh stressed the need for advance technical know how and business tie up in horticulture, agriculture and allied sectors in which Israel has latest technological equipments and machinery to immensely benefit the agriculturists and fruit growers of the State.
Chief Minister said that there were immense opportunities for mutual cooperation in various sectors like water management, waste management, irrigation, post harvest infrastructural facilities which could benefit the small agriculturists and fruit growers of the State.
Israel Ambassador to India Alon Ushpiz invited the Himachali delegation to study the various sectors to explore the further possibilities for tie ups and mutual cooperation.
Eyal Siso, Minister Counsellor, LTC Shuky Bachar, Deputy Defence Attache, Shimon Merciner, Head Political Affairs of the Embassy were part of the delegation. G.S. Bali, Transport Minister and Sudhir Sharma, Urban Development Minister were also present on this occasion.
