Thunag: Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur launched the second phase of Intensified Pulse Polio Immunisation (IPPI) programme by administering the polio drops to the children between 0-5 years of age at Thunag in Seraj assembly constituency of Mandi district today.

The spokesperson of the Health department told that 5895 booths had been set up all over the state with targeted children numbering around 672000 including 39322 children in high risk areas like slums and migrant colonies.

As many as 1103 booths have been set up in district Mandi. He said that in Mandi district 81112 children between 0-5 years were targeted to be brought within the fold of IPPI including 818 children in 45 high risk zones. He said that 4412 team members had been deputed for the purpose.
