Shimla: Himachal Congress assured to take up the issue of implementation of 85th Amendment of Constitution with the state government so that it could be implemented soon for the benefit of SCs.
HP Congress President Sukhvinder Singh, speaking at the party meeting, said that as Himachal is an employee dominated state and the provision of reservation in promotion is a critical issue amongst the SC employees. And for this purpose, he would soon meet Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and would urge him to take steps to address this issue as implementation of constitutional 85th amendment is required without further delay.
Sukhu also assured to raise the issue of filling backlog in the government services.
He also called on the state government to waive loan of Rs 50,000 which have been provided to persons belonging to SC community.
