The State Level Single Window Clearance & Monitoring Authority has approved 28 new proposals for setting up of industrial projects in the State.

Monitoring Authority, in its meeting under Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh at Dharmshala, also gave approval to 32 expansion/diversification proposals of the existing units with combined proposed investment of approximately Rs. 2500 crore which will provide employment opportunities to about 7891 persons in the State.

Amongst the new proposals approved today by the Authority, majority were received during recent investor meets organized at Mumbai, Bangalore and Ahmedabad headed by the Chief Minister. During the investor meets, major emphasis was laid on agro-industrial sector, engineered goods, pharmaceutical products and food health sector.

M/s Crispy Bites has proposed to invest Rs. 1897.00 lakhs with employment potential to 78 persons for setting up of Ultra Modern Cold Chain Infrastructure with Individual Quick Frozen (IQF) for Preservation and Processed Fruits & Vegetables and Horticulture Products. M/s Fateh Enterprises has proposed to invest Rs. 3950.00 lakhs for setting up of Controlled Atmosphere (CA) Cold Storage of Fruits and Vegetables and the project will provide employment to as many as 114 persons.

M/s Micro Seamless has proposed to invest Rs. 7900.00 lakhs with employment potential to 410 persons for setting up of Seamless Tubes., M/s Hafco Agro Infrastructure, will invest Rs. 5435.00 lakhs with employment potential to 150 persons for setting up of Sorting, Packing Grading of Fruits and Vegetables. M/s Him Healthy Farm Food, has proposed to invest Rs. 5474.00 lakhs for setting up of CA Cold Storage for Fruits and Vegetables and the project will provide employment to 125 persons whereas M/s Lupin Ltd. has proposed to invest Rs. 34800 lakhs with employment potential to 1500 persons for setting up of API facility, M/s Rock & Storm Distilleries Pvt. Ltd. has proposed to invest Rs. 15000 lakhs with employment potential to 500 persons for setting up of Country Liquor & IMFL, Distillery, Breveriy Bottling Plant.

The expansion/diversification proposals includes proposals of Rs. 228 crore of M/s Vardhman Spinning Mills of amounting, Rs. 250 crore proposal of M/s Indo Rama of having employment potential of 94 persons, M/s Tirupati Wellness (Formerly Known as Ubesha Engineering) which has proposed to invest Rs. 2954.16 lakhs with employment potential to 137 persons for manufacturing of Ropp Caps, Machinery, Spare Parts, Engineering Equipments & Fabrication, Air Handling Unit, Ayurvadic Products, Pharmaceuticals Products, Cosmetic Products, Neutraceuticals- Supplements Foods- Protein Powders etc., M/s Aqua Vitoe Laboratories, which has proposed to invest Rs. 1778.74 lakhs with employment potential to 158 persons for manufacturing of Pharmaceutical Formulation, M/s Indorama Industries Ltd., which has proposed to invest Rs. 25000.00 lakhs with employment potential to 94 persons for manufacturing of Spandex Yarn, M/s Bectors Food Specialties Ltd which has proposed to invest Rs. 3267.00 lakhs with employment potential to 263 persons for manufacturing of Biscuits. M/s Mahle Filter Systems India Limited (Unit-II), which has proposed to invest Rs. 1370 lakhs with employment potential to 114 persons for setting up of Automotive and Industrial Filters, M/s Medicef Pharma, who has proposed to invest Rs. 2675 lakhs with employment potential to 72 persons for setting up of Tablets & Dry Syrup. The authority also gave in principle approval to the proposals of M/s Lupin and M/s Torrent Pharmaceutical for exploring the possibility of setting up of project to manufacture bulk drugs in the State at a total cost of about Rs. 450 crore so as to cater to the raw material needs of the large numbers of pharmaceutical companies already in the state.

The Chief Minster directed the Investment Promotion Cell of the industries department to follow up these projects and expedite their clearances so that the Single Window Authority approval could be granted immediately to the entrepreneurs.

Industries Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Additional Chief Secretaries V.C Pharka and R.D Dhiman, Principle Secretary Finance, Dr. Shrikant Baldi, Director Industries Rajender Singh, Advisor Industries Rajinder Chauhan and other senior officers of the State government were present in the meeting.
