Chamba: Urban Development Minister Sudhir Sharma unfurled the National flag at Chamba. While addressing the gathering, Sharma said that the State Government was committed for the welfare of every section of the society with special emphasis on the upliftment of weaker section.
Sharma said that the Government had given added priority to the social welfare sector and social security pension had been increased to Rs. 550 from Rs. 450. He said that this pension was being given Rs. 1000 to the persons above 80 years of age.
Minister also honoured the persons for their remarkable contributions in various fields.
At Keylong
Prakash Chaudhary, Excise and Taxation Minister while presiding over district-level function at Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti district.
Local MLA Ravi Thakur, Chairman, Wool Federation Raghuvir Thakur, Deputy Commissioner Hans Raj Chauhan and other prominent persons were present on the occasion.
