Kangra: Acting tough on encroachers, the Kangra sub-divisional authorities have gave a dead-line till August 5 to the shopkeepers in the town to remove encroachments on the footpaths.

The authorities have ordered to launch an anti-encroachment drive from August 6 if they failed to remove encroachments.

Earlier, administration had launched anti-encroachment drive in Mandir Bazar and near the Civil Hospital.

The SDM said the authorities were left with no option but to take action against the shopkeepers in different localities of the town.
