Former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal has accused Congress party for violating code of conduct and filed a complaint with the Election Commission over photos of Congress leaders being published in ration cards and sought immediate intervene of commission.

In his written complaint to Chief Electoral Officer Narinder Chauhan, leader of opposition has advised commission to nullified Rashan Cards carried the photographs of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and Consumer Affair Minister.

Dhumal stated that under Public Distribution System, consumers get foodgrain and other items monthly and uses Rashan Cards as an identity. BJP leader, in his complaint, stated that Congress party taking undemocratic mileage from these cards and thus violating code of conduct.

Dhumal termed it a serious mater and sought immediate cancellation of these rations cards.
