To combat the corruption on the departmental level, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister announced to start a toll free telephone number to report the cases of corruption in the Government Departments.

Chief Minister, in his budget speech, announced it and assured to take the action immediately. The identity of the complainants will be kept confidential, CM added.

Virbhadra Singh also propose to set up a common ‘Public services delivery helpline’ for all Government Departments. Citizens will be able to log their complaints on this helpline with regard to any deficiency in delivery of public services, CM added.

This help line will instantly forward the complaint to the concerned Government Department and corrective measures will immediately be initiated to ensure timely delivery of public services.

To make Govt department more transparent and paperless office working, Chief Minister proposed to start E-Office Software in 10 Government offices in the next financial year. The offices switching to this software will work on a completely electronic mode and all the papers and files in these offices will be digital.
