Palampur: At the annual function of Shaheed Captain Vikram Batra Government College, HP Vidhan Sabha Speaker Brij Behari Lal Butail stated that Government of Himachal Pradesh is keen to modernize educational institutions in the state. To strengthen infrastructure network of education in the state, the Government had allocated Rs 4,282 crore for the education sector in the state, he added.

Butail stated that the Himachal Govt giving top priority to the education sector and was spending a major amount of its budget on it. He asked teachers community to work with devotion as they could give new dimensions to this field.

Earlier, Nirmal Sood, Principal of the college, welcomed the Speaker. Sood assured Speaker that college administration working hard to create the best academic atmosphere in the college.
