The National Legal Service Authority is organizing a National Lok Adalat on 23rd November, 2013 in all the Courts throughout the country. As per the scheme, the Himachal Pradesh State Legal Service Authority will also organize the National Lok Adalat at all levels with a view to reduce the number of pending cases in the State and resolving them on the basis of the agreement between the parties.
In this series, H.P. High Court Legal Services Committee, all District Legal Services Authorities and Sub Divisional Legal Services Authorities Committees in the State will hold National Lok Adalat on 23rd November, 2013 under the auspicious of National Legal Services Authority and H.P. State Legal Services Authority, Shimla.
Compoundable criminal cases, cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Motor Accidents, Compensation Act, Matrimonial and Family cases, labour disputes, land acquisition cases, civil cases etc. will be taken up for disposal at the Lok Adalat.
The H.P. High Court Legal Services Committee has identified 1500 cases in the High Court for fixing them in the National Lok Adalat for which 18 benches have been constituted. Apart from this, 19414 cases have been identified in the State for taking up the same in the National Lok Adalat.
