Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh sought votes in favor of Indian National Congress candidate in Delhi assembly election. Addressing election rallies in for the Vidhan Sabha election to be held in Delhi, Virbhadra Singh took a dig at the BJP and termed the tactics of BJP leaders as a step towards misguiding the people by their false promises of providing basic facilities like cheap power, water etc.

He said that BJP had failed on all fronts and there was a proxy war going on within their top party leadership and it is amazing that they were alluring people by false propaganda of providing separate statehood status for Delhi.

Eulogizing the efforts of Sheila Dixit, the Chief Minister of Delhi, Virbhadra Singh said that she had been instrumental in providing separate identity to Delhi for the last 15 years. He said that today Delhi has emerged as role model of development and had been enlisted as one of the Best City of the world with all necessary infrastructure and facilities for the people.

He criticized the opposition for adopting cheap tactics of dividing people on the lines of casteism, region and religion just for the sake of power for which they are trying for last many years but the people of Delhi were well aware of the progressive policies and visionary leadership of. Virbhadra Singh said that Congress considers the whole country as its family and believes in overall development of all communities. He said that common man was now fed up of malicious propaganda of opposition parties and people were going to give them a befitting reply in the Vidhan Sabha elections being held in five States.

Lauding the role of various Himachali based organizations, he said that he had been active in these organizations since his student days and had participated in many annual functions of these organizations. He said that Congress Party had played a pivotal role for giving statehood status to Himachal Pradesh whereas BJP had always opposed it. He appealed to the voters of Delhi to vote in the favour of Congress Party candidates to accelerate the pace of development.

Speaking on the occasion, G.S. Bali, Transport Minister said that the State Government was providing best health services to the people of the State and Dr. Rajendra Prasad Medical College Tanda was being developed as best health institution by developing various super specialty departments.

Thakur Singh Bharmouri, Forest Minister said that the State had implemented many policies for increasing the forest cover of the State besides many programmes for welfare of downtrodden sections of the society.
