Brij Behari Lal Butail, Speaker, HP Assembly, opened a two-day science exhibition organised by the state education department at Palampur. Students of 60 government and private schools of Palampur region are participating in it.

Speaking on the occasion, Butail appreciated the education department for holding such exhibitions and such event proves beneficial for students hailing from rural areas as they got a platform to expose their skill. Butail said that in present scenario, science and technology played a major role in our life; therefore science exhibitions came as an exposure to the students. He stressed for the need of organising more exhibitions.

The Speaker said in the current financial year the state government had allocated Rs 3,836 crore for the education sector. State had also planned to set up smart classrooms in 1,455 schools in the state.
