Forest Minister Thakur Singh Bharmouri has sanctioned Rs. one crore for construction of mule paths and repair and renovation of inspection cottages of Forest Department.

Stating this at New Delhi today, Bharmouri said that it would be beneficial for the officers and officials as it would provide them easy access and better place for staying during their tours besides providing facilities to rural people for getting fodder and timber in forest areas. He directed the officers to spend the sanctioned amount for renovating and developing the existing accommodation facilities for employees of the Department in a timebound manner.

Forest Minister directed the officers to make proper arrangements to handle fire related incidents in forest areas for the summer season besides removing pine needles from the chir forest areas before summers set in. He also sanctioned one lakh each to fire sensitive Forest Divisions to make preliminary arrangements in mitigating forest fires.
