The state Govt today transferred Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of Shimla and Una, who are also the district returning officers, midway during the Assembly elections.
DC, Shimla, Arun Kumar has been replaced by Subhashish Panda, Director, Public Finance and Public Enterprises-cum-Special Secretary (Finance), who is also holding the additional charge of Director, Information Technology.
Kadam Sandeep Vasant, Additional DC, Mandi, takes over as DC, Una, in place of JR Katwal.
It is learned that both top officials were transferred on the recommendation of the Election Commission.
