Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi joined the Himachal poll campaign and addressed three rallies on Thursday.

Gandhi scion lashes out at the BJP for creating hurdles for the passage of the food security and land acquisition Bills. Rahul said that BJP is obstructing the poor friendly policies. He added that by objecting the land acquisition act and food security Bill, which would give best price for their land and the poor can get food, BJP has shown its character and political will.

He alleged that even BJP is shying away from the debate. Gandhi alleged that BJP feared that if legislations like the land acquisition act and food security Bill are passed they will lose the 2014 elections.

Rahul, who was addressing a rally at Police ground in Solan, criticized the BJP for adopting double standards over corruption. He alleged that BJP Govt has played a role of felicitator to sell the land of poor people to outsiders by violating state law. He also criticized Himachal’s BJP government for “failing” to create adequate avenues of employment. He appealed the people to vote for the Congress and said if given a chance, the party would change the face of the state.

Congress general secretary stated that the Congress Party works for all sections of the society. In places where the Congress is ruling, the plans, policies and development projects for the poor, downtrodden and weaker sections are all in place.

He added that in the future too, Congress programmes and policies will target all the sections of society. He claimed that Congress policies like MGNREGA, Right to Education and Right to Information have strengthen the common people and even Govt for its usefulness and success, Govt gets applauds from reputed international bodies and even BJP senior leaders were forced to acknowledge on bigger platform.

Rahul Gandhi also addressed public rally in Keylong (Lahul and Spiti) and Jaisingpur.
