Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal inaugurated One Act Play on ‘Sant Kabir’ written, directed and performed by Shekhar Sen, at historic Gaiety Theatre, by lighting the ceremonial lamp here today.

Addressing the theatre lovers, Chief Minister congratulated the LNJ Bhilwara Group and Malana Power Corporation for providing an opportunity to the theatre lovers of Shimla to enjoy and appreciate the play. He welcomed Shekhar Sen to Himachal Pradesh and hoped that his play would enthrall the audience with one of the rare presentation on Sant Kabir, written, directed and acted upon by himself. He said that Sen happened to be a multifaceted personality who had been propagating the philosophy of Swami Vivekanand and legendaries like Sant Tulsi Dass and Sant Kabir. He said that earlier also he had witnessed the play by Sen on Swami Vivekanand and now it would be another opportunity to enjoy one act play on Sant Kabir. He said that the performance was bound to give boost to theatrical activities in the town.

Ravi Jhunjhunwala, Chairman, LNJ Bhilwara Group, welcomed the Chief Minister and delved upon the personality of Shekhar Sen. He said that it was his 702 solo one act play being performed. He said that Sen was known for his unique talent of being all in one in theatrical performances in the country.
