Protesting against the alleged corruption scandal in Coal Mining Scam or Coalgate in which the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) office accused the Government of India for providing the nation’s coal deposits to private and state-run entities in an irregular and arbitrary manner instead of publicly auctioning them off to the highest bidder, resulting in a loss of approximately 186,000 crore to the exchequer during the period 2004-2009, Himachal Pradesh Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) unit is holding statewide protest on 29th August in the all district headquarters of the Himachal Pradesh.

In a press communiqué, state President Narender Atri blamed Congress led UPA Govt for betraying Indian public by giving coal blocks to corporate giants on the cheap rates and that has caused a huge lose to the exchequer. He alleged that UPA Govt has let Indian public down as it has given its share to the corporate giants. Atri also demanded prime Minister’s resignation over his inefficiency and to highlights his inability and to make aware the general public of India over Coalgate, State BJYM unit will protest in all district headquarters on 31st August. Under the leadership of BJYM national president, BJYM will observe black Friday and will protest nationwide.
